Officer Edgar Flores was  shot and killed minutes after conducting a traffic stop in DeKalb County, GA.

Officer Flores was not just a brother in blue to me, he was family. We went through 28 weeks of the academy together and both got assigned to the same precinct upon completion of the academy. A lot of police academies typically have 10+ recruits; however, we had just four, including Flores. All four of us developed a genuine bond for each other. We were known as the fantastic four. We called Flores "Flower boy". He may not be here with us today, but he will always be part of the fantastic four.

Flores was a great stand up guy. He kept to himself most times, but he never cease to have a smile on his face. He was smart, funny, and down to earth. He graduated with a Bachelors in criminal justice. He wanted to venture into forensics science, but wanted experience on the road helping people. He helped when he could to the best of his ability while upholding the laws of the state of Georgia. He did just that till his last breathe.

Flores lived with his long term girlfriend, Liz. All the proceedings from this fundraiser would go entirely to her. The funds are to help with funeral arrangement, memorials, and some of Flores's pending bills.

The funds would be used as soon as it is readily available to the family.

The final expense would be handled by his girlfriend, Lizandra Y M Duran.
