Hello, my name is Lina, I am writing to you from the middle of a sea of ​​darkness and fear, in the midst of the worst days of my life in Gaza, where the war left us no safe place. I no longer have a home or memories. In one night, every corner we know and every beautiful moment we lived turned into ashes, under Israeli bombardment. Today, I and my seven family members - my mother, father, and four siblings - live under a small tent in a displaced persons camp, sheltering with each other, struggling with the cold, hunger, and fear.

Every day, we start our mornings not sure if we will survive until the evening. We live amidst the sounds of planes hovering above us all the time. Every raid makes us feel that death could come at any moment. I will never forget the moment when a neighbor’s tent collapsed in the camp after it was targeted by one of the raids, and I saw innocent souls die before my eyes. The screams of children and women filled the place, and the heat of the fire that night is still stuck in my memory. Since that moment, we have lived every night as if it were our last, sleeping with our minds filled with nightmares and fears that we might be next.

Now, we are in dire need of support. We need money to buy the simplest things that many may not think about – food, clean water, electricity, and medicine. Our life here in the camp has become a daily struggle for survival. All I hope for is that we can be evacuated to a safe place, away from this hell that devours everything we know and love.

I know that there are those who live in safety and peace, but here, we live in a never-ending nightmare. So, I beg you from the bottom of my heart, any support or assistance - no matter how small - could make a difference in my life and the life of my family. Your help could be the hand that saves us from this endless suffering.
