Cover medical expenses

Hi, my name is Ryan. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Education in Atlanta, GA, who has long enjoyed living life with my beautiful family through the outdoors, cooking, and the arts. Last year, a few days after my birthday, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer. After multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery to remove my stomach, spleen, and part of my pancreas, my doctors, family, friends, and I were hopeful of a possible full recovery. Unfortunately, I have recently learned that cancer has returned, and that I don't qualify for enrollment in clinical trials with any promise. It is my great hope, like most fathers, to leave my loving wife, Jingyi, and my amazing son, Izydor, with no medical-related expenses to worry about upon my passing. Any help is graciously and humbly appreciated.

As we have exceeded our goal, any additional donations will be split between discretionary expenses (any additional debt, home/auto repair or maintenance, childcare) and funding to support graduate studies in education at the doctoral level. Again, thank you so much for your support and kindness.
