Football without Borders, Medellin Colombia

Hi, I'm Mike Lacy you previously received a quick Whatsapp messages from me asking for a simple donation of $ 50.00 to help support our football without borders program in Medellin ( Bello), Colombia. I'm currently volunteering as the defense coordinator, linebackers, and defensive backs coach. We are playing real American tackle football. 11 vs 11 with college rules. These are young men from the ages of 18 -44 that have a passion for the sport of American football and a love for the game. Most of the individuals have full time jobs and some also attend the local university. After completing work or school the come to practice 3-4 times per week. They do not receive any money or stipend to play and have to find ways for transportation to and from practice and pay for thier own equipment, uniforms, and travel to and from games. I'm asking for a little help from my friends and family so we can buy some quality used equipment, so the individual can participate safely. Most of the people I have asked to donate played some type of sports at one time in thier life. And if we think back to the commitment we put in at that time. We can only imagine the commitment the aforementioned players are putting in at this time. We also have several Americans playing as well. We even have a women's flag football team. If you are in the Medellin area and want to play, support, please come out and lend a hand. If you are one of my friends or family that I asked for a donation please help as soon as you can. The community we are supporting is Bello and they don't have much in- terms of extra income. It is considered a very poor barrio that is rife with all the issues that comes with poverty.
