Football Aid for Kenya in honour of Ayaz Khan

Donation protected
Hi all.
My name is Saleem.
I am a volunteer in community football and have been all my life.
I am currently involved in youth and open age football.
I have a huge love and dedication for the game and am currently involved in a couple of clubs in Nottingham called Ernehale Colts Youth and Gedling Southbank.
The biggest influence on me and my life of football was my older brother Ayaz.
we shared the best part of 40 years, playing, managing, running clubs, watching and sharing our love for the game together. We had an unbreakable bond.
Sadly, and to great loss to this world we lost Ayaz after a battle with illness.
Following my brothers passing I received contact from a football coach in Kenya named Miguna Nelson who has dedicated himself to Mitua FC and coaches across all ages and levels over there voluntarily.
Miguna was asking me about my brother.
I was unaware of their relationship and that my brother had been offering support to Miguna’s club and generally in Kenya.
I have now built up a wonderful friendship with Miguna. We follow one another’s teams and results and are generally in contact every day.
Miguna does a lot to develop youth and football in Kenya with almost no resources and they are short on the very basic things that we take for granted over here in the uk. They play barefoot, they don’t have equipment like cones and kits, bibs as well as many other things.
I found out through talking to Miguna that Ayaz had been sending packages with things they could use before he passed. My brother was very humble. He never publicised this and did it all off his own back.
I would now like to continue my brothers great work.
Doing this has not only been rewarding but has also been a massive boost to my mental health. I am immensely proud of what my brother was doing and this is just part of what he did for anyone who needed help or support.
Miguna and myself would like to build a personal partnership and partnership between our clubs. Mitua FC and Ernehale Colts Youth.
We believe we can make a big difference in people’s lives by doing an annual collection of equipment and send it over to Kenya to improve their situation over there.
For weeks I have been collecting donations from Family, friends and through my links within the football community. Everyone has been incredibly generous especially all of my Ernehale colts family who have donated boots, equipment and kits etc.
The plan is to do this on an annual basis and possibly spread this aid to other places in need of this. We plan on doing a collection every summer by collecting equipment from clubs and individuals and put a package together to ship over to Kenya and in the future maybe to other places in need as a continuation of my brothers great contribution to the wider community.
We are now at the point of having everything collected packaged and weighed to be shipped over.
This is where we would like some help. Shipping is expensive and we are currently at a weight of 155kg and counting. Our estimated cost for this collection is to be between £600 and £700.
I am now reaching out to the community to help us with this cost through donations and fundraising.
If we can reach this target it would be a massive achievement and go along way to supporting the football community internationally.
We would be most grateful to anything that anyone can spare to make this happen and hopefully turn this into something bigger in the future.
Thank you to anyone that has already contributed to this and Thank you in advance to anyone that supports this cause in the future.
Sincerely
Saleem Mozley, Miguna Nelson and ofcourse my brother, the legend Ayaz Khan,
