"Foodraiser" For Dean in the nursing home
Donation protected
Here's the scoop. The nursing home I'm stuck in have suddenly stopped restaurant ordering for me, after over two years, and I don't handle most of the food made here, so I'm buying my own now. Problem is, most of my ssdi goes into paying for this place — all but $100 a month! I need an average of $25 every other day. Leaves me in a bind, as a mostly vegan, lactose intolerant, quality snob, nothing but the best food to keep life worth living — so I'm throwing this "foodraiser", so I can keep using Doordash whenever I need it.
All of these funds will go into supply meals.
I've been living with ALS for the past ten years, I just turned 60 against the odds, so I think the good meals really help!
Thanks!
**** here it is, just four days later, and my arbitrary goal of $3k is nearly met! I'm gobsmacked by everyones generosity here. Yep, I'm feeling the love!
Now this should last awhile, at least a few months! If things are still the same after running low, I'll up the ante then. Thanks !
I was so mad when they unceremoniously pulled restaurant orders entirely in this nursing home I need to rely on. . I can understand limitations on that, but 100%? I can't eat much of the food made here, it's too limited for lactose intolerant people like me.
anyway, my idea here went surprisingly high and fast, beyond expectations! Here's to good eating! Really important, especially with ALS. Tend to lose too much weight.
thanks endlessly, and keep in touch!
