Food & Emergency Shelters for IDPs in Eastern Congo

As of January 23, 2025, the situation in Eastern Congo has reached a devastating new level. The region’s largest rebel group is intensifying its efforts to seize control of Goma, the city at the heart of the crisis. Since last year, over 7 million people have been displaced, and the violence shows no sign of stopping. Thousands of families are forced to flee, often with nothing more than the clothes on their backs, as they escape the relentless fighting between armed forces and rebel groups.

In the face of this suffering, Focus Congo remains on the ground, offering critical support to those who need it most. We are providing food, water, emergency shelters, and life-saving medical care to those caught in the crossfire. But we can’t do this alone.
