My name is Rashetta, and together with my family, we started our food truck business in 2023 with a dream to share our passion for food and serve communities all across North Carolina. My husband cooks the food, and I take orders and pass the food out, making sure every customer feels welcome and cared for. We are a Black-owned business, selling Jamaican and soul food that reflects both our backgrounds—I'm from Rose Hill, NC, a small town where community means everything, and my husband is from Guyana, South America. Traveling from city to city, we loved connecting with people through our food and creating memorable experiences. Our three daughters, ages 5, 7, and 12, have grown up surrounded by the warmth and joy of our business.
Unfortunately, in October 2025, I was involved in an accident when someone hit my pickup truck—the vehicle that pulled our food trailer. The truck was totaled, and without it, we couldn’t keep up with the food truck payments or operate our trailer. This setback made it impossible for us to continue serving our customers the way we always had. Now, we have a new building and a fresh opportunity to rebuild, but we need essential equipment to open our doors again. We’re raising funds to purchase a range, fryer, prep sink, three compartment sink, refrigerator, freezer, and prep table. These items are crucial for us to get back to cooking and serving our community.
I’m asking for your help to get our business back on its feet. Your generosity will make a real difference, allowing us to reopen and bring our food and joy to the community once more. Thank you for believing in us and supporting our journey.
