PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO WATCH THIS VIDEO AND HEAR CARMEN'S STORY
We learned about Carmen and her situation from a contractor who was doing repairs on our home in San Diego. He told us about a single mother in Tijuana, Mexico who was raising two boys by herself — both with severe cerebral palsy. Her children are non-verbal and require constant care and assistance.
Carmen's only source of income is from donated second hand clothes that she sells at local markets, in order to provide food for her boys. We went to visit Carmen in person and hear about her story. What we learned was devastating.
Carmen had recently broken her leg and was unable to work. She explained that there had been times where she didn't eat for days, in order to give what little she had to her boys.
More so, her house was literally falling apart and the roof above her head was collapsing. Her refrigerator did not work, the washing machine was in disrepair, and she used a crude stove outside her house to cook food.
We knew she needed help, and that she needed it quickly. This is why we are reaching out.
We are looking to raise $100,000 in order to rebuild her house, purchase appliances, provide medical care for her boys, buy them suitable wheelchairs and purchase food/groceries for them on a regular basis.
Your donations are secure and will be and used for the right cause, and we assure you that every dollar raised will be going directly to Carmen and her boys (Edgar and Efrain).
PLEASE HELP as the rainy/cold season is upon us, and we need to replace her windows and repair her roof as soon as possible.
Thank you for reading and watching our video, and please share this story through social media. We need all the help we can get!
