Food Security for Saint Lucia

Hi: My Name is Raymond Peterkin. I live in Canada but I am helping my homeland, Saint Lucia, in the Food Security effort to enable the average person to participate in growing healthy foods to sustain themselves, their families, communities and country.

I am working with Cooperative Choice Group (CCG), a Cooperative for farmers located in the Mabouya Valley in Saint Lucia.

CCG will have a Roundtable Discussion on June 6, 2022, to encourage Saint Lucians to grow what they eat and to eat what they produce. CCG is also seeking, among other things, to attract a new crop of young farmers to get into the farming industry and employ new techniques and technology to deliver top-quality foods.

This fundraiser is to assist CCG in paying for expenses associated with the event.
