Franciscan Shelter House Food Fund

The Franciscan Shelter House, Inc. d/b/a The Franciscan Kitchen is a 501(c3) nonprofit organization whose primary mission is to serve hot well balanced meals to the homeless & hungry.  We operate entirely on donations from charitable benefactors such as yourself and the generosity of our many volunteers.  Through this effort we are able to serve wholesome hot lunches daily, Monday through Friday and several Saturdays of each month. The Franciscan Kitchen receives no state or federal funding, so we are supported solely through the continued generosity of our donors.  

With the ever increasing needs of our community, the rising costs of food, and utilities we are creating this campaign to help offset our food operating expenses.  The money from this campaign will be used to purchase vegetables, seasoning and spices used to make the side dishes we prepare for our daily lunch program. 

I currently serve on the Executive Board as vice-chair, and have been working with the Franciscan Kitchen to raise these much needed funds to continue our ministry.   It is through the generous support of our donors like you, that enabled us to serve over 135,000 hot well-balanced meals over the past year.
