Food Forward is a Southern California nonprofit that fights food waste and food insecurity by rescuing fresh surplus produce, connecting this abundance with people in need and inspiring others to do the same. Each month, Food Forward rescues millions of pounds of surplus produce from backyard fruit trees, farmers markets, and the Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market. These healthy fruits and vegetables are provided, free of charge, to hunger relief agencies, helping to feed 2 million people experiencing food insecurity each year.
