I have never reached out to the community but desperate times require desperate measures.
One of our local sled dog companies is in need of our help. Due to the shortened, non-existent, sled tour season a local company is experiencing some financial hardship.
The company is presently looking into whatever assistance they may be eligible for. However, at this time, none of the financial assistance takes into account animal welfare. In this case, there are 90+ dogs that need food.
It's been amazing to see all of the organizations that have come together to help out so many in the community. It easy to forget about the four-legged animals that could use our help as well.
The cost of a large bag of Kirkland (Costco) Chicken and Rice food is $50 including GST. If any of you can afford and would like to donate funds towards bags of dog food I know our contributions would be greatly appreciated.
