Food for koala Spikey and his friends

Anika has been a wildlife rescuer and carer for 20 years. She and her hubby founded a koala rescue organisation in 2001 and raised more than 100 koala joeys from her home. One of the daily tasks is cutting and collecting leaf for the animals in her care, big sticks up to 2m, for which she needs a large car. Her 22 year old much loved Nissan Patrol broke down beyond repair. She is looking at buying another car to keep helping, rescuing and caring for koalas. Even though she has been here for more than 20 years, Anika is not able to apply for permanent residency or citizenship. Hence she cannot take out a loan for another car. Can you please help?

It will mean the world to her to be able to keep doing what she has been doing all those years. Koalas need their daily branches of fresh eucalypts leaf, and their checks and rechecks at the various wildlife hospitals. Please help Anika to purchase another - second hand - "working horse" car. At the moment prices of second hand cars have gone through the roof in Australia as due to Covid no new cars are coming into the country possible not until the end of 2021.
And of course if there may be any excess of the fundraising goal, the money will go to ongoing costs for koala care and rescue.

Update: Anika has now, with the help of a few friends, purchased a Toyota Landcruiser. This car will help her to do what she needs to do to help the animals, but she now owes a few people a lot of money. Hopefully you can still help out, as her mission in life is to keep helping koalas and other wildlife.
