Food for Families in Los Angeles

Donation protected

In the wake of recent ICE raids in Los Angeles, many families in our school community are living in fear. Parents and guardians are staying home, avoiding public spaces like grocery stores and workplaces out of concern for their safety. As a result, many households are struggling to access or afford basic necessities like food.

Morgan McKinzie High School continues to be a safe and trusted space for many students. Building on that trust, a grassroots effort has emerged to support families by sending food home with students—allowing them to discreetly and safely bring groceries to their households.

With just $20, we can provide a full bag of groceries for a family. Each bag includes essentials like rice, beans, tortillas, fideo, potatoes, bread, and peanut butter—along with a reusable bag so students can carry the food home by foot or public transit.

Your support can help us reach even more families in need. Every dollar goes directly toward feeding our neighbors and showing them they are not alone.

Thank you for standing with us.
