The community of Islamic Center of Inland Empire is raising funds to assist a family of a recent event that took place here in Fontana, CA on January 4th. The family is a victim to a violent crime that cost the life of their children. Now we are trying to raise money for the funeral of the victims. To better understand, here is the context as to what happened:
A Pakistani family, living in the city of Fontana were gathered planning for travel to Pakistan for the wedding of two of the family members. The members were all cousins, and were getting ready to travel and celebrate the wedding of 1 brother and another wedding of the sister.
The uncle of the family, who resided in Escondido, CA offered to assist all the neices and nephews a ride to LAX airport, and offered to come and stay with them before the flight. The tone of the family was completly normal, no fights took place, and the entire family in Fontana spoke to members in Pakistan excitedly for the functions to come. The early morning of January 4th, around 3 am, the uncle woke up, using a gun, and killed 3 members of the family, immiediatly. ( 1 brother and sister of one family, & one sister of the latter). Then, he also shot and critically injured the other brother. One sister of the family was able to hide and escape, and as the uncle exited the apartment looking for the escaped sister, he was then met by local police who arrested him without resistance.
They were planning for weddings, now they must plan for funeral arrangements.
The Islamic Center Of Inland Empire is looking to raise $25,000 to assist the family to get the victims' bodies transported back to Pakistan. The deceased have no family members, aside from the uncle who commited the act, in the U.S and the family is pleading from Pakistan to at least give them the closure of a funeral.
100% of the money collected by the communities, will be used to trasnsport the bodies safeley to Pakistan, which will cover the bare minimum of local costs, fees, and transportation to the family. ( This includes: Mortuary costs, local county fees, caskets, body preperation & transportation)
It is our responsibility as Muslims to assist and help this family in getting their children's bodys sent to Pakistan.
Each day that passes, more expenses are incurred, so please help us raise the $25,000 by Jan 15, and I pray Allah blesses you all for your commmitment, and donations.
