Fonseca Family Medical Relief Fund for Matthew

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

Matthew Fonseca is 23 years old and is the son of Enrique and Yolanda Fonseca. Matthew is kind, generous, hard-working, and all-around - a wonderful human being. Matthew is always smiling and brings joy to everyone around him.

Matthew's passion is music, especially playing the piano. His parents and sister are accustomed to him playing notes throughout the day, which has become a daily joy for his family.

At the end of July 2022, The Fonseca family faced a medical emergency concerning Matthew. Matthew called his father, complaining of a headache one day and asked for help. Shortly after, his father arrived at their residence and found Matthew unresponsive. Matthew was transported to the hospital, where he has been since. Doctors have advised Matthew may have suffered a stroke at a young age. Since day one at the hospital, he's been entirely paralyzed. He's surviving through respirators and feeding tubes. He is in a treatment center in the State of Pennsylvania, but his situation is critical.

The Fonseca family are Maryland residents where they reside in Frederick County. They travel to and from Pennsylvania every day to be with Matthew. They are truly dedicated to their son and will go to the end of the world for him. Unfortunately, their travels to be with Matthew and medical bills are starting to deplete The Fonseca Family. Therefore, we are creating a GoFundMe to help relieve the weight of the costs of many resources and endless medical treatments that Matthew has received and continues to receive.
