RUNAS IN RESISTANCE

We are a colectivo of Runa youth from Turtle Island (US & Canada) in accomplice with Runas en la lucha in Ecuador.

The funds collected will go directly to impacted indigenous communities, groups, organizations, and individuals on the ground currently in need of relief in Quito. The funds will go to support the purchase of clothes, blankets, food, medicine, towels, face masks, hygiene products, etc.

This is a permanent fund that will exist long after the lucha on the ground is over. The after-effects will bring additional expenses for indigenous communities for medical and legal expenses. The funds are also not exclusive to communities in Quito as indigenous communities and organizations are in constant travel and exchange with communities back home.

Update (10/23)- The funds will be going directly to indigenous people temporarily and permanently injured in Quito. The indigenous organizations and clinics in communities like Cotopaxi, Imbabura, Chimborazo, and Canar will receive support through our networks currently on the ground in Ecuador. The Runas in Resistance team is also identifying people in Quito who still need urgent support.

RUNAS EN RESISTENCIA

Somos un colectivo de Runas jóvenes de Turtle island (USA y Cánada), en acompañamiento con los Runas en la lucha en Ecuador.

 

Los fondos que recolectemos irán directamente a comunidades, grupos, organizaciones e individuos en el campo de batalla, que actualmente están en necesidad de ayuda en Quito. Los fondos serán dirigidos a ropa, cobijas, comida, medicina, toallas y productos higénicos, etc.

 

Este es un fondo permanente que existirá después de que la lucha en las calles termine. Los efectos posteriores traerán gastos adicionales a las comunidad indígenas para medicina y apoyo legal. Los fondos no serán excluidos solamente a comunidades en Quito. Los fondos también serán para comunidades indígenas en constante movilización desde sus comunidades hacía las afueras.

Actualización (23/10) - Los fondos se destinarán directamente a los indígenas heridos temporal y permanentemente en Quito. Las organizaciones y clínicas indígenas en comunidades como Cotopaxi, Imbabura, Chimborazo y Canar recibirán apoyo a través de nuestras redes actualmente en el terreno en Ecuador. El equipo de Runas en Resistencia también está identificando personas en Quito que aún necesitan apoyo urgente.
