Family emergency fund

My family in Ecuador is going through a very difficult time. My older brother lost his job in the midst of the health crisis due to CoVID-19.

One of his children (Steven 13) presented seizures and loss of motor skills on the right side of his little body, so we had to hospitalize him. Due to the pandemic, the public hospitals were collapsed and we had no choice but to take him to a private hospital, which we paid for with the help of a loan. Unfortunately, my nephew kept getting worse and passed away on Sunday, June 28, at such young age.

Days later, a close relative tested positive for COVID-19, which resulted in the entire family being ill and in isolation. My brother and his wife, in addition to having to grieve, have to be strong, heal and take care of their other two children (Joselito 10 and Ayleen 2). For now they are stable and have mild symptoms.

Finally, with the expenses of the funeral, hospital and medicines, the debt grew (exceeds $ 3,000 USD).


I know that the loss is irreparable, but with this fund I hope to somewhat alleviate its economic burden.

                                                                                         Fondo de emergencia familiar

Mi familia en Ecuador esta pasando por un momento muy difícil. Mi hermano mayor perdió su empleo en medio de la crisis sanitaria por  el CoVID-19. 

Uno de sus hijos presentaba convulsiones y perdida de la motricidad del lado derecho de su cuerpito por lo que tuvimos que hospitalizarlo. Debido a la pandemia los hospitales públicos estaban colapsádos y no tuvimos otra opción que llevarlo a un hospital privado  el cual pagamos con la ayuda de un préstamo.  Desafortunadamente mi sobrino siguió empeorando y falleció el domingo 28 de junio a sus 13 años de edad. 

Dias despues, un familiar cercano dio positivo de COVID-19, lo cual resulto en toda la familia enferma y en aislamiento. Mi hermano y su esposa además  de tener que pasar por duelo tienen que ser fuertes, sanar y cuidar de sus otros dos niños ( Joselito 10 y Ayleen 2 ). Por ahora se encuentran estables y tienen sintomas leves.

Finalmente, con los gastos del funeral , hospital y medicinas la deuda creció (supera $3000 USD).

Se que la perdida es irreparable, pero con este fondo espero en algo aliviar su carga económica.
