Le décès soudain de notre chère Gigi est venu comme un grand choc et nous laisse dans une peine inexplicable. Dans ses derniers vœux, Gigi à clairement spécifié qu’elle ne désirait pas de fleurs, de cadeaux, ou de deuil, mais qu’elle préférait que des dons soit fait en son honneur.

Gigi, dans son rôle come conseillère à la municipalité de Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, a supporté le développement du Service des premiers répondants dans la communauté. Ce service, qui as longtemps était un dossier de passion pour Gigi vient de lancer dans les derniers mois.

Leur premier appel, le matin du 14 Décembre 2020, était en réponse à l’appel de Gigi. Ils on répondu à son adresse dans 8 minute, là où le temps de réponse avant la mise en œuvre de l’initiative aurait été de 45 minutes ou plus.

Malheureusement, aucune intervention aurait fait une différence à sa condition, mais nous sommes certains que dans ses derniers moments, Gigi aurait été réconfortée par l’idée de la proximité de son aide dans la forme des premiers répondeurs de Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu.
 
Tout dons seront dirigés vers le Service des premiers répondants a l’honneur de Ghislaine Massé en sa mémoire.

Commemorative Fund - Ghislaine Massé - 1952/05/24-2020/12/14 dedicated to the First Responders of Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu

The sudden passing of our dear Gigi has come as a great shock and leaves us in an inexplicable sadness. In her last wishes, Gigi specified clearly that she did not want any flowers, gifts or mourning, but would prefer that donations be made in her honour.

Gigi, in her role as municipal councillor in Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, supported the development of a new service in the community, of first responders. This service had long been a passion project for Gigi, which has only launched in the past month or so.

Their first call was received on the morning of December 14th 2020, in response to a call made by Gigi in the early hours of the morning. Within 8 minutes of her call, first responders were at her door - under the former model, it would have taken upwards of 45 minutes for medical assistance to arrive.

Unfortunately, no intervention would have assisted her condition, but we’re confident that in her final moments, the knowledge that help was close by comforted Gigi in her final moments, and that help would come in the form of the first responders  of Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu. 

All donations will be directed towards the First Responder services in honour and in memory of Ghislaine Massé.
