A Long Overdue Update – Thank You for Your Patience!

First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you for your support, encouragement, and patience. I haven’t posted an update since launching this campaign—I’ve been hard at work bringing Filò to life, refining designs, sourcing materials, and perfecting each piece.

I also want to take a moment to clarify exactly what your contributions will go toward. Every euro you donate is essentially a pre-order for a Filò piece, handcrafted with care and intention. Here’s what I’m creating:

Hat – €50

Scarf – €90 (long and cosy, approx. 2.20m)

Jumper (Men & Women) – €190

Vest (Men & Women) – €230 (featuring handmade porcelain buttons by Monica Santos, a talented ceramist in Porto)

Cardigan (Men & Women) – €250 (also adorned with Monica’s exquisite porcelain buttons)

I’m also in the process of designing a dress and women’s trousers, as well as three kids’ pieces—these aren’t quite ready yet, but I’ll keep you posted as they develop!

I’ll be sharing photos of the pieces soon so you can see the craftsmanship and detail that goes into every stitch. Your support means the world to me, and I’m beyond grateful to have you as part of this journey.

Hello, I’m Jacqui, the heart and hands behind Filò—a high-end, made-to-order knitwear project born from a lifelong connection to craftsmanship, an artist’s vision, and the quiet beauty of Portugal’s Serra da Estrela mountains.

The idea for Filò began with a golden thread—a memory of my mother, working tirelessly in her studio, creating garments that wrapped everyone we knew in beauty and warmth. I never planned to follow in her footsteps, but during a quiet chapter of life, something awakened. I picked up needles, began knitting, and rediscovered a passion I didn’t know I carried.

Now, I’m here, living near the mountains, working with exquisite materials, and creating designs that are as kind to the earth as they are elegant on the body. I believe clothes should be meaningful, made with love, and built to last generations—not just seasons.

How You Can Help

To launch Filò, I need to raise €10,000 by late February 2025. Every euro contributed to this campaign will be converted into a voucher for you to use toward a piece from my collection. Think of it as pre-ordering, with each contribution supporting the creation of garments that reflect your values.
