We have an insatiable hunger for more of God.
A couple of years ago, Patrick and I felt the Lord's stirring our hearts to see more of His Kingdom on the earth. Recently, while on a getaway trip, we were intentional about asking the Lord to shape our desires into what He wants for our lives. Well, He didn't disappoint! The Lord gave us so much clarity for what is ahead of us, and it has placed unspeakable joy inside us. He has placed a vision in our hearts to launch a movement in Grand Rapids that will impact the world through music and ministry. We desire to see the Kingdom of Heaven come in Grand Rapids. The Word says that Jesus instructed His disciples to heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. This is our forward focus.
In preparation, Patrick and I plan to embark on a new journey of learning. We are packing up our kids and a few essentials, and we are driving 2,270 miles across country to Bethel Church in Redding, California. We will be there from September 22nd - October 16th. While in Redding, we plan to audit classes at the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, attend the Open Heavens Conference, take part in inner healing classes, and generally just glean as much from the culture as we possibly can! We don't have all the steps in place, and the road map isn't in hand. All we have is a fresh vision in our hearts. We are purposed to focus forward, not looking back on what was, but looking to what is ahead.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be immersed in the Bethel culture at this season in our lives. Many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help us in our season of transition, and your encouragement and support has meant so much. Now there is something else you can do. We are hoping that you will partner with us to help raise the funds to get us to Bethel. These funds will be used for the gas and food to get us there and back, and for accommodations and conference fees, etc., while we are in Redding. It's very hard for us to ask people for help, especially in a society in which we are often so concerned with being self-sufficient. However, Patrick and I feel compelled to allow other people who are passionate about what we’re doing to link arms with us by giving financially. We promise to use any investment in our future to invest in others by doing our part to bring the message and power of the Kingdom to those who need to see and hear it.
We also covet your prayers during this season. Please pray that we will be refreshed in the Holy Spirit and will receive from the culture and community that we are visiting. Also pray that the Lord will help us release in power in our home, city, and throughout the earth whatever we receive during this time.
