On March 6, 2017 the NYS Liquor Authority sent in a ringer. I did ask for ID but as usual for a small business woner I was tired, read the year and just zoned on the month which as I remember was close to the month. It was my fault but in 7 1/2 years it was the only time I have sold to someone under 21. I expected a fine but the state decided the fine would be $7,000. It is incredibly punitive and is going to really kill me financially. I am asking for only 1/2 of the fine. I do bear some responsibility. Thank You in advance and if you know me at all this is not an approach I would take unless I felt desperate. It is a very humbling thing to do.
