Help Save Dash — Emergency Vet Care Needed

Hi Everyone,

My sweet boy Dash is an 8-year-old cat who has been my best friend for years. He’s gentle, affectionate, and has been by my side through so much. Recently, Dash experienced a life-threatening urinary obstruction — something he struggled with in the past, though he hasn’t had one in over five years. These blockages are extremely dangerous and require immediate emergency treatment to save a cat’s life.

This episode came on suddenly and without warning. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where they confirmed his bladder was obstructed and needed urgent intervention to prevent kidney failure.

I’ve already had to pay almost $5,000 just to stabilize him and get him the care he needed. The vet has estimated that Dash may require up to an additional $3,000 for ongoing hospitalization, monitoring, medications, and follow-up treatment.

I am doing everything I can to keep him alive and comfortable, but this unexpected emergency has become overwhelming financially. Dash means the world to me, and I’m trying to give him the chance he deserves to recover and return home.

What the funds will cover:

• Emergency stabilization

• Catheterization and hospitalization

• Medications and fluids

• Follow-up vet visits

• Any additional care recommended to prevent another obstruction
