Support Gabe's Dream: A Cappella Academy in LA!

My name is Gabe Clark, and I am a 17-year-old singer/vocal percussionist from Dayton, OH. This past December, I auditioned for A Cappella Academy, a 10-day vocal camp held in Los Angeles. Only the top 13% are admitted, so when I received notification that I was accepted, needless to say, I was extremely excited! I can't wait to embark on this journey.

I have been singing for as long as I can remember. My mom has so many videos of me singing and dancing in the car and at home - I was always putting on a performance! I remember my mom taking my brother & me to see the movie 'I Can Only Imagine' and during the movie I leaned over to my mom and said, "I have goosebumps. I'm going to do that." And well, here we are! I joined choir starting in elementary school, and once I reached high school, I joined A Cappella (Novae A Cappella, Prime A Cappella & Forte A Cappella). Honestly, I wanted nothing to do with having to try out for any groups my freshman year of high school, but my choir director encouraged me to try out for the A Cappella group and I am so thankful for his push and motivation! A Cappella has had such an amazing impact on my life!

Tuition for camp comes up to $2,885 (not including airfare to and from LA from Dayton/Cincinnati). It is my ultimate goal to raise enough money to attend camp without putting any financial strain on my mom. My mom has supported me over the past 4 years of my A Cappella journey, doing everything she can to support my dreams. I am trying to make it easy on her now.
