Gatumba Fundraiser for Flood Victims

Gatumba, a village located 30 minutes away from Western Bujumbura, Burundi, has been severely affected, in the last 4 years, by cyclic rising tides of Lake Tanganyika due to climate change. Gatumba is home to many engaged, outspoken, and change-driven individuals who have been committed to fulfilling the vision of a more inclusive and equitable Burundian society, for all. Today many of their homes and families are facing the devastating repercussions of an environmental crisis. This special fundraising initiative recognizes their devotion and aims to provide relief and assistance with a focus on helping them relocate to safer spaces.
