Help Otis Recover From Emergency Surgery

Hi everyone,

I’m writing on behalf of Otis’ family to share his story and ask for a little help during a really difficult time. Otis is a sweet, one-year-old male dog who recently had to undergo emergency surgery for a severe intestinal blockage. It was sudden and completely unexpected; one moment he was his happy, his playful self, and the next, he was in serious distress and needed immediate medical attention.

Thanks to the amazing veterinary team at Veterinary Medical Center of St. Lucie County, Otis made it through surgery this morning 10/13/2025 and is now on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, the procedure and hospital stay came with an unexpected $7,000 bill, which has been a huge financial strain on his family.

Otis means everything to them. He’s full of love, energy, and the kind of joy only a dog can bring into your life. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward his medical expenses and help ease the burden on his family as they focus on helping him heal and get back to his tail-wagging self.
