End of my rope

My wife and son are chronically ill & disabled, I am proud to be their full-time caregiver for many years. I love my family and I’m thankful I’ve been able to do this for them this long. Now I find myself more and more in debt, and I am scared I’m not smart enough or strong enough to take care of them and stay afloat for the difficult years to come. An injury and injections left my son with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) with Adhesive Arachnoiditis and my wife’s diagnosis are too numerous to mention.
My name is Joe. I have always worked hard to pay my bills, do my own home repairs, constantly transport my family to doctors/therapy/hospitals, pick up and manage 30-40 medications, navigate insurance, prepare meals, and help them with ADL. But now I barely have the strength to keep my head above water. I cannot take on more debt as would happen with refi costs, more loans, even consolidation terms. Any debt relief would be life changing and allow me to focus on medical management and urgent home repairs.
Please donate if you can. May we all be blessed. Thank you, Joe
I’ve been meaning to thank everyone again for their donations for my cause. And to let you know it warmed my heart, gave me hope and help me finish out the year with my shirt. I realize now how many really good people I worked with at I&S. Unfortunately, we are still living month-to-month and still going negative even after I made some loan adjustments. My current plan will be to try and sell off all the stuff we don’t need and sell the house for a HC friendly one story home. That is a mouthful for me. The Medical maze we all experience is formidable challenge for all of us and my family is in it. Ann has a new specialist to go see and my son has spent years and years searching for useful doctor that will treat the intense symptoms of CRPS and help him form an overall plan to out live his pain. Right now it looks like he will need to go out of this country to find a doctor that’s not limited. In the meantime, I will welcome any donations to extend my chances to take care of my wife and son. so please share my story. May you and yours be blessed.
