On July 8th our family went to the hospital to say goodbye to Joe's mom. Joe's mom had been in pain for many many years and she was ready to let go. Joe had taken the week off from work to be there when she passed but unfortunately that same night Joe became very ill . Two days later his mom passed. Joe's symptoms had only gotten worse and he was stuck in bed with a fever. It wasn't until that Sunday July 15 that he decided to go get checked out by a doctor.
They sent him straight to the ER and from there he was admitted to the hospital and was diagnosed with Acute Necrotizing pancreatitis. The doctor explained that this was one of the most severe cases he had ever seen and had we waited any longer we might of lost him.
Joe has spent the last week away from us bedridden in the hospital on intravenous antibiotic treatment to cure the infection and inflammation. The second part of his recovery includes a cholecystectomy (surgical gall bladder removal). Sadly, his employer does not provide any health insurance and we are desperately in need of some funds to help pay what the doctors/hospital estimate of $40,000
Joe is a dedicated husband and father to our 3 and 6 year old children. He is also my best friend. If you know him then you already know that he will always go out of his way to help a friend in need.
Please help relieve some of the financial burden while we grieve the loss of Joe's mother and recover from Joe being in the hospital . Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated!
All funds raised will go directly to cover health care costs.
