Randy Zentz's Medical Fund
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Tracey Hills. After a courageous five year battle with cancer, my best friend, Randy Zentz, has entered hospice care. I opened this fund raiser to help his family deal with his final expenses.
A friend to everyone he met, Randy began dispatching police and fire services for the City of Daytona Beach in 1987 and continued dispatching for the Volusia County Sheriff's Office after their dispatch services were consolidated in 2004. A true credit to the profession, Randy's knowledge, calm demeanor, sense of humor, and positive spirit earned him the respect of all of those who worked with him.
In 2008, Randy accepted the position of Assistant Communications Coordinator under Glenn Lopez, bringing him in contact with people throughout Volusia County and its neighboring regions. True to his nature, Randy brought the same level of dedication and commitment to that assignment as he did the Communications Center floor.
A role model with a solid work ethic and friendly disposition, Randy was picked by his peers as both the Telecommunicator of the Quarter and Telecommunicator of the Year. In 2009, Randy was also awarded a Commendation Bar from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office for locating a lost autistic child.
A true family man, nothing meant more to him than his wife Connie and his son, Tyler. Any money received through this fund raiser would go to ensure that they are not burdend by his hospice and final expenses. Any amount is appreciated!
Thank you!
