Hi there! My name is Mary, and I’m 20 years old. I was born and raised right here in Colorado, spent some time living in California, and then came back home to CO. I’ve always been driven— I graduated high school early around 16 or 17 and completed a few college programs at the same time. My real passion has always been cars and the automotive scene, in which I have a few company partnerships. I enrolled in trade school (Lincoln Technical Institute) for automotive technology with the goal of becoming an ASE Master Technician one day, and a more lofty goal of attaining all 12 ASE certifications by the age of 22.

Everything changed in November of 2024 when I suffered a stroke and two aneurysms. Just four months later, I had another stroke, and I was diagnosed with multiple rare, untreatable illnesses. Battling carotid fibromuscular dysplasia, hemophilia A, eosinophilic colitis, fibromyalgia, epilepsy, multiple organ failure, nerve damage, brain issues, heart issues, etc. was crushing. It felt like my world fell apart—I lost so much, including my independence, memories, and ability to move the right side of my body, walk, or even remember how to speak let alone speak clearly.

But God had other plans. Since March 2025, I’ve been on an incredible recovery journey. I’ve regained my memories, full function of my right side, the ability to walk and talk, and I’m now nearly back to where I was before the strokes. Many of my conditions, especially the ones doctors told me would never go away, have miraculously either disappeared or gone into remission. Losing everything was devastating, but through it all, God showed me the light in my life and made the impossible possible. He’s used some of my worst moments that I never thought would bring anything other than pain, to bring life and hope into others lives who have been in a similar boat. My faith has carried me through the door that God has opened, and I’m so grateful for every step of progress.

Now, the next chapter is here: I’ve received an amazing job offer as an automotive mechanic with Toyota in Pensacola, Florida! I’m beyond excited—this is the opportunity I’ve dreamed about, and it’s a huge step toward my goal of becoming an ASE Master Technician.

The company is helping with some relocation costs, but it’s not enough to cover everything I need to move safely and get settled (like transportation, moving expenses, initial housing/setup, etc.). Moving across the country adds up quickly, and right now, I am unable to afford it on my own.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to ask for your help bridging that gap so I can accept this job and start this new life. Any amount makes a difference, but even if you can’t donate, just reading my story and sharing it means the world to me. Your support—whether a prayer, a share, or a kind word—gives me hope and reminds me I’m not alone. My goal is to show others it’s worth it to keep trying, it will get better and I want to be someone to help them through it. Which bridges into the fact that if I’m able to make it to this job, the company will pay for my ASE certifications which will allow me to eventually open my own non profit trade school to help in the rehabilitation and education of those who are struggling in any way, like I was a year ago. Automotive mechanics has been a huge drive to continue getting better for me, so why not carry it on for someone else?

The funds would be used for relocation/housing purposes in Pensacola, as well as medications for the existing conditions I deal with currently.
