My name is Lauren Dudzinski and I am creating a Go Fund Me fundraiser for my friend & farrier Matt Savage. He is a highly respected farrier and a really great guy! He always puts family first and then his business a close second. On Tuesday May 9th his 12 year old son, Porter, was in a tragic accident on their farm. He was driving a gator and it roll on him. He was air flighted to Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. His injuries are extensive to say the least. He has a fractured skull, fractured right scapula, 5 broken ribs, collapsed lung, T6 & T7 spinal compression fracture, and a fractured left ankle. Porter is in a neck brace, a back brace and also an ankle brace to manage swelling and he also has a chest tube. Porter has a long road ahead him once he can leave the hospital. He will have extensive rehabilitation and be in a wheel chair for some time. A group of friends have gotten together to create a 1st floor bedroom for Porter in anticipation of his arrival back home.

Even with health care insurance a catastrophic event to this magnitude is a massive financial burden. Matt has not left Children's Hospital since Porters arrival on Tuesday, May 9th. He has several farrier friends pitching in to cover his business, but Matt will at the very least suffer a major financial set back..... and then there will be medical and rehab bills.

I have never set up a Go Fund Me and if there was ever a dire need to do so, it is now. Matt and his family are wonderful people and they will truly need a generous helping hand. If you know him then you know this to be true. If you dont know him, trust me, this guy is sooooo deserving of some help.
