Yesterday, I came home from work to a sight that was unimaginable: my sweet cat was unable to use her back legs. She was dragging them behind her, clearly confused and in distress. I rushed her to the emergency vet immediately, but we have reached a devastating standstill.
The veterinary team has conducted a preliminary exam, but without further diagnostics—specifically X-rays and potentially an MRI—they cannot determine if this is a severe orthopedic injury or a neurological emergency. Because I don't have the immediate funds to cover the diagnostic imaging and the subsequent surgery, we are currently in a "wait and see" period that her body simply cannot afford.
The estimate for her diagnostics and surgery ranges between $5,000 and $10,000. This includes:
- Emergency X-rays and specialist consultations
- Neurological or orthopedic surgery
- Post-operative care and rehabilitation
Why Your Help Matters
Luna is more than just a pet; she is my family. Seeing her lose her mobility so suddenly has been devastating, and the thought of her not getting the care she needs due to a lack of funds is a weight I can’t describe.
Every single dollar raised will go directly toward her veterinary bills. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this link with your friends and family. Even a share can help us reach someone who might be able to help Luna get back on her feet again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, your prayers, and your support during this terrifying time.
