FM's 1st High School Women's Rugby Team

Please Help Us Bring Women's High School Rugby to Fargo-Moorhead

Ask any female Fargo-Moorhead college or adult rugby player how they like playing rugby, and their answer is usually something like, "I love it. [...] I only wish rugby was an option available in my high school."

Women's high school rugby is finally coming to the Fargo-Moorhead area this Spring. Females student athletes from all nine of the FM area high schools are joining together to make this vision a reality.

In the Spring of 2019, the FM Youth Rugby (FMYR) organization was formed and has hosted several single and multiple day youth rugby clinics gauging community interest and support for the FM's youth teams. In the Summer of 2020, elementry rugby program lauched. In the Spring of 2021, co-ed middle school rugby kicked off. Then in the Spring of 2022, the area's first men's high school team played their first season. Finally in the Spring of 2024 women's high school rugby will be joining our full catalog of youth rugby opportunities.

We are excited to share and celebrate the friendship and camaraderie that rugby brings its players, coaches (and families). Your donations will help offset the inaugural women's high school season cost for practice equipment, facilities, referees, and jerseys. We'd like very much if you would join us in this big step for youth rugby for our community.

More information about FM Rugby Club: FM Rugby Club, founded in 2019, is a 501c(3) organization that serves seven local rugby clubs. FM Rugby Clubs mission is to lead in the development and promotion of Rugby through the establishment and fostering of comprehensive programs within Fargo-Moorhead and to support the growth competitive rugby-play among Fargo-Moorhead.
