Alix Kirshner is one of those people that exudes joy. Her infectious laugh and silliness will have you cracking up in seconds, her drive will inspire you, and her sweetness will make it impossible not to give her a gigantic hug.
For the past year, Alix struggled with frequent vomiting and headaches – which doctors told her was due to anxiety and stress. When she recently went to the hospital with swollen lymph nodes in her neck, doctors diagnosed her with Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which is a cancer of the lymphatic system (part of the immune system). The cancer has spread to lymph nodes in her chest and abdomen.
To treat this aggressive cancer, she is facing six months of aggressive chemotherapy treatment called ABVD, which will leave her unable to work and incredibly immunocompromised.

The funding from your contributions will go directly toward helping Alix over the next 12 months with treatment expenses, living expenses (a clean apartment nearby the hospital is necessary), and other care expenses–things like prescriptions and chemo care packages.
