Help With Medical Costs

This is a hard post to make.

On Friday, Feb 28th, my Mom went in for a chest x-ray. This was after having a cough and losing her taste for wine. We all know how much she loved her wine! They found a mass in her lung. On Monday, she went in for a CT scan where they found multiple large masses throughout various organs. It was determined to be cancer, but a biopsy was needed. She had routine blood work done in preparation for the procedure. Wednesday morning, she received a call that her sodium was very low, and she needed to go to the hospital and be admitted for monitoring. Late Friday morning, she had a successful liver biopsy. That afternoon as I was by her side she was hit with a stroke. She was moved to ICU shortly after. By Saturday, she was unable to speak or move much of her body. After speaking with a Neurosurgeon about her potential for recovery, we made the toughest decision of our lives and placed her in comfort care. Mark stayed by her side all night. Today, at 4:34 pm my Mom went in peace.

Our hearts are broken. We are numb. We have opened a GoFundMe to help with some of the bills. At this time, we ask for privacy as we move forward in the healing process. We know Debbie was very much loved. We will be having a Celebration of Life in the near future.
