Help Shahad’s Family Survive and Rebuild After Losing Everything

I am raising money on behalf of Shahad, a 20-year-old nursing student from Gaza, and her family. The following is a message from her:

Before the war, my family lived a normal, happy life in Gaza. I am Shahad, and I was pursuing my dream of helping others by studying nursing. My siblings—8-year-old twins, a 12-year-old, a 16-year-old, and a 21-year-old—were all in school, and my father worked hard to provide for us. My eldest sister, 23, is married and raising her own family. We had stability, a home, and hope for the future.

But when the bombing began, we were forced to flee for our lives and have been displaced to the Mawasi area of Khan Younis. We have struggled to survive ever since. Months later, we received the devastating news that our home had been completely destroyed. Everything we built over a lifetime is gone.

My father can no longer find work, leaving us with no source of income. My mother suffers from a chronic illness and urgently needs medical treatment that is unavailable. Adding to our struggles, prices for food and basic goods have skyrocketed due to the low supply in the markets, making it very difficult to afford even the essentials.

We are fundraising to meet our urgent needs:

Safe Shelter to ensure we have a secure place to live.

Food and Essentials to help us survive each day.

Medical Care for my mother’s critical condition.

Rebuilding Our Lives if we raise enough funds, we will use them to restore stability to our lives. This includes providing for our long-term needs, helping my siblings and me return to school, and allowing us to begin dreaming of a brighter future.
