Hello, my name is Jasmin Brown, and I am a passionate, dual enrollment, high school senior aspiring to further my education at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). I've chosen FAMU for its outstanding Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program, which I believe will open doors to a wealth of academic and professional opportunities. But, my dad (Etienne Brown) humorously insists this is just my major in “getting out of the house!” While he may jest, I am genuinely excited about the endless opportunities FAMU has to offer. My commitment to community service has also profoundly shaped my character, enhancing my empathy and collaboration skills. As the captain of the Lady Gators varsity basketball team and flag football team, I've learned that success comes from working together as a cohesive unit rather than relying solely on individual talent.
