To our Family and Friends,

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we inform you all of the passing of our dearest father and husband, Seid Raju. Seid was battling with cancer for several years before succumbing to his illness on the evening of Thursday August 25th, 2022.

Seid was a soft spoken, kind hearted man that brightened up any room he entered. He had a unique sense of humor, generous heart, and was always wise beyond his years. He loved living in the DMV, starting and raising his family in the greater region of Northern Virginia for over the past 20 years. Seid was devoted to politics and progressive reform, as he invested a great majority of his life's efforts into fighting to create mosques in his home city of Axum, Ethiopia. His entire world revolved around his family, Islamic and African American community, and lineage to his heritage. Seid’s legacy lives on through his wife Amina and three children; Siham, Menal, and Muktar Raju, along with close family and friends who will love and miss him forever to come.

We are kindly asking you to help support our family cover extensive medical expenses. We appreciate every inch of support that we receive, and thank you for your extended thoughts and prayers. We trust that Seid is resting in eternal peace.
