Hi. I am Donna Welcing. Last Thursday, May 2nd, my 5 year old grandson was having trouble breathing and turning blue! My daughter, Katie Roberts, and her husband Craig called an ambulance. When they got to Cooks Children’s Hospital it was determined the reason he was having trouble breathing was a large tumor in his chest pressing on his airway. He was diagnosed with non Hodgkins Lymphoma. While his overall prognosis is good, it is a long road ahead. He will have a very aggressive chemo regimen for at least 6 months then 2 years of lower dose chemo. Katie is needing to quit work to take care of him. We have had so many friends and loved ones wanting to help, and this would be the best way to help them cover expenses once they are down to just one teacher salary.
