Hi, my name is Jessica. August of this year, my oldest daughter and I were out doing back-to-school shopping. While we were picking up our curbside grocery order, a drunk driver hit us a total of 3 times, backing up each time. My daughter was in the passenger front seat and endured most of the impact. She suffers from epilepsy and had been seizure-free since brain surgery in December 2023. After the wreck, her seizure activity returned from the stress/ impact.

I ended up finding a lawyer to handle our case because I've never had to deal with a drunk driver. After speaking with the lawyer, they decided to send us to a chiropractor 4 times a week for 4 weeks, as well as "pain management" doctors. The lawyer didn't investigate the drunk driver before sending us. Now, I owe over $20000 in medical bills because the drunk driver didn't have insurance, and my policy doesn't cover un/underinsured drivers. Now the full responsibility of fixing my car, medical bills. Now the consequences of the drunk driver are fully my responsibility
