Baruch Dayan HaEmet. Early this morning, August 23, 2025, our family lost Kaduary Shitiat, zichrono livracha (z”l), after a difficult battle with severe bone cancer. He passed away at a rehabilitation center. Our hearts are broken.

Kaduary was a devoted father to all his children and a steady presence for everyone who knew him. He was the one who always showed up when it mattered. We want to honor him with a proper Jewish levayah (funeral) and kevurah (burial) carried out with dignity and care, but our family cannot cover these expenses quickly without significant financial strain.

I’m organizing this on behalf of my girlfriend, Aviya Shitiat, and the entire Shitiat family. Your support—of any amount—will be a true chesed shel emet and will help us give Kaduary the respectful burial he deserves.

How Funds Will Be Used
  • Funeral home services & preparation (coordination, care, transport): $4,500.00
  • Chevra Kadisha (taharah, tachrichim, shmira): $4,995.00
  • Cemetery expenses (plot, opening/closing, marker): to be added once finalized
  • Initial goal: $9,495.00 (covers immediate funeral and Chevra Kadisha costs; we will update if cemetery costs require)

In Jewish tradition, giving tzedakah l’ilui nishmato (for the elevation of his soul) is a great merit. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page is also a mitzvah. Please refrain from sending flowers; contributions in his memory are most appreciated.

May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem — “HaMakom yenachem etchem b’toch she’ar aveilei Tzion v’Yerushalayim.”
Tizku l’mitzvot.
