Hello, my name is Clifford Zapp, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my sister-in-law, Rhonda Tschirsch. Rhonda is currently facing one of the toughest challenges of her life. She was recently diagnosed with Cervical Cancer, and what was first thought to be treatable with surgery quickly turned into a far more serious situation. Doctors discovered a large tumour, and she is now undergoing aggressive treatment weekly chemotherapy and radiation five days a week for at least two months.
Because the treatment Rhonda needs next is not available in Thunder Bay, she will soon have to travel to Toronto, Ontario. If the treatments shrink her tumour enough, she will need to return again to Toronto for a radical hysterectomy.
Rhonda has always been the kind of person who puts everyone else first. She’s a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend someone who has worked hard her entire life and supported her family through unimaginable loss. In 2020, she lost her husband of 30 years, Dave, to Covid. Only months later, her mother passed away. She later lost her godmother, her father, and in February 2025, her younger brother and best friend, Wayne. Despite all of this, Rhonda continued to show strength, compassion, and resilience.
Now, in the middle of her own health battle, Rhonda is trying to work when she can, but the intense treatments are making it nearly impossible. She is struggling to keep up with daily expenses while also preparing for major medical travel.
I’m asking for your help to ease the financial pressure so Rhonda can focus on healing.

• Her daughter’s university tuition
• Travel costs for treatment in Toronto
• Essential living expenses during recovery
