Hello, my name is Tumai and I am raising a thoughtful collection on behalf of our dear friends the Contrabona family.

Unfortunately, our beloved friend, who was also a wife, mother, sister, and daughter, Annika Kate Contrabona passed away suddenly on Wednesday the 1st February 2023, at just 38 years of age. She left her family and her two beautiful children, Xavier 5, who just started prep, and Nicola, only 3 years old.

This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are broken, this will be deeply felt by all who knew her. A gorgeous soul, who’s warmth and smile lit up every room and always made us laugh with her humorous approach to life.

In a way to show some much-needed support at a difficult time, and instead of giving the grieving family flowers and gifts of condolences, we wanted to show our compassion and raise a collection for the family, to help alleviate some financial pressure where possible, and give them the opportunity to grieve, be together and heal through this time without other worries.

We hope to ease the sudden loss for their family in every way possible through seeking donations, big or small from the community. Peter is now a single father and custodian of Xavier and Nicola and has shown such strength and love but is also the sole earner with unexpected expenses.

All funds raised from this collection will go directly towards the family, and the kids to help where possible and even allow them to spend some quality time together and grieve their significant loss.

Peter would never allow this from his heart, but we feel it’s something so small and the least we might be able to do. The outpouring of support from loved ones for Peter and the kids as well as the whole family has been truly humbling.

Annika will be remembered as a fun-loving woman, who had such a zest for life, and passed way too soon. She will be incredibly missed by everyone who knew her. Her amazing caring and loving nature will be felt in our hearts forever.

May she rest in eternal peace.
