Help get us back on the road...

Last year, our Transit Custom van was written off due to issues with the engine, resulting in us having to make do with a 2004 plate Renault Kango which is not CAZ compliant in certain areas we cover, isn't really large enough to accommodate requirements, and struggles particularly on the motorway when making journeys to Leeds due to the incline in the motorway! There is a rattling noise coming from the back of the van and the brakes have recently gotten to the stage the vehicle is unsafe to drive. We've got it booked in at the garage to get these issues fixed, although we're just buying time at this point and this van is clearly on its last legs.

We are in desperate need of a new ambulance that fits our requirements and will enable us to continue to rescue foxes throughout the North West, West Midlands, West Yorkshire and East Yorkshire areas. Covering all of these areas and doing so much driving around clearly puts a lot of toll on our ambulance, and so we need a newish van, large enough we can carry equipment including multiple carriers and traps. As we get closer and closer to spring, we need to start thinking about the cub season, and we will also need a van large enough to accommodate release pens, which a van the size of the Kango does not.

At the time of making this Go Fund Me, as the current ambulance is off the road until it's able to be seen by a mechanic, we're restricted as to what we can do regarding the rescue of foxes in our coverage areas, and considering how busy it has been lately, this will be of huge detriment to the foxes in need of help, so we are desperate to get a new ambulance sorted as soon as possible in order to prevent any unnecessary suffering that may be caused if we are unable to get out to foxes in need.
