Support for Sean McKinnon from Fort Mac’s Flood

Sean McKinnon is a HET at Finning Townshop. He owns a townhome in Longboat Landing in downtown Fort McMurray. Unfortunately his home was affected by the devastating flood. The picture shown is of Sean’s garage. Luckily, the water did not make it up to the second level but the damage is still real. I was there today and seeing it in person is overwhelming. Sean (as well as many others) does not have overland flood insurance. His condo board has insurance but this will only restore his place to what it was when he first purchased his home. He has no coverage for any of his personal belongings or the upgrades done after moving in. After all this, my friend/coworker still remains so positive. This is such a unique trying time for us all but I can’t imagine dealing with this on top of everything else going on in the world.
