Update:
Monday Morning. Our garden is starting off beautifully- I’ve laid more than half the rocks down and so excited to get it prepared for spring. We are still in need of flowers, soil, and anything you think would make a sensory garden magical. My neighbors ALL love the rocks and stop by to observe the beauty in each one of them! If you would like to donate anything to our garden: Rent a Tool in NMB behind The BBQ House is still taking donations during business hours. We are excited to start a page soon to show everyone how our garden is coming a long for our friends to follow. If you know of a garden club that has the resources or knowledge pleasssse send them my way! I could use ALL the help bc although my grandma had a green thumb- I don’t. I could use the garden club’s knowledge to make sure this comes back year after year.
Our biggest wish is of course a vehicle that would be dependable for Cam as the years come. The link above is for those donations. I’d go fund me isn’t your cup of tea: Nancy at Rent a Tool in NMB would gladly accept any donations for our family.
We ask for our friends to share! We ask our friends/peers/community to let others know of our need! We truly believe in the only way to make things happen is to rely on HELP from others. WE ARE A FAMILY THAT FIRMLY BELIEVES IN SOWING SEEDS.
Update:
SuperMom checking in- First and Foremost got to get on my knees to thank the Lord for today (I already have a few times). I’ve cried. I’ve smiled. I’ve had every emotion you can think of. Today was a day full of emotions but the BIGGEST thing for me was turning around after walking through the parade to being the last one and everyone in our party already in the auditorium to still hearing the kids in the hall & the kids in the auditorium chanting SuperCam. In that moment I was still. I soaked it in & tonight, I’m able to PRAISE God for all of the blessings He continues to flow.
As you all know Cam is now the big 5. He doesn’t need any gifts honestly we are blessed for everyone who has reached out! The one need he has is a vehicle that is equipped with his needs. For starters, we don’t have ac vents in the back- seizures occur if he’s overheated and we live in North Myrtle Beach where it gets extremely hot. We take many trips to appts 2.5 hrs away (they’ve become weekly if not more) but also have many unexpected trips out of town to Charleston or Our preferred hospital Columbia. My sister put into words bc she knows our biggest need is solid transportation for Cam so she started a GoFundMe for this occasion as she goes with us on every trip just about. If it is in your heart to donate towards seeing our biggest goal, God bless and thank you If you prefer not placing it on GoFundMe it can be handed to Nancy at Rent a Tool in NMB. If you can’t donate - we ask that you put on your heart that Cam can ride comfortably soon and something fit for his needs. We truly believe if we keep faith God will see us through no matter what! Because HE has each time. Cam is a testimony within himself nonetheless the many testimonies he has. If you have an opportunity to share, invite your colleagues and friends to look at it even your boss- every dollar adds up and so does every prayer and manifestation.
God bless each one of you
Update:
What a joy in the morning it is to know that people care about us near and far! Wether you’ve prayed about our needs, shared or donated- I personally wish I could hug you ALL. It is our hope before he gets as long as me to have something accessible for him. He just recently got denied a wheelchair for him but we fought through that battle and waiting on the maker to create one for him. It will be a couple weeks but I know the one we have that is too small for him does not fit in our actual vehicle. Therefore I have used a beach wagon with a makeshift chair and weighted blankets to keep him secure wether we are in a restaurant, store, drs office- wherever we are we bring the beach with us. The wagon folds and fits in my car but as you see he’s half my size. The wagon is noooo longer working for us. What I am most concerned about is the new chair will not fit in my vehicle. Carrying around 40 lbs of dead weight literally feels like 70 lbs. Mom Carter and I have done it and will continue to do it until the Good Lord sees it fit for our needs. God has done it before and I know he will continue to hear our story. Thank you for helping me believe this through. Thank you ALL for hearing our cries and Thank you ALL for praying for them with us. God bless.
Hey yall im back again on behalf of my Sister an her beautiful family. So much has happened an Cam is still fighting!!! Hes my Biggest Hero!!!
Update on Super Cam:
Yall he's turning 5!!! This year South Carolina Make A Wish is granting a wish to my nephew Cam Jordan on Wednesday, March 1st. Our wish for Cam was to have the biggest birthday party and on Wednesday he turns 5. Cam suffers from two brain injuries suffered at birth, cerebral palsy and severe epilepsy. He is also nonverbal an non mobile.
At the school birthday party they, the students and faculty, will have a parade for Cam, the biggest birthday song with over 1000 students singing and participating followed by a party with popsicles.
The students and teachers at Cam’s school have been learning about his condition as he is the most extreme special needs child in his school. We are hoping this will help bring awareness for All the special needs children, as acceptance an understanding is what we all seek in life. One of the teachers and her husband donated over 1000 rocks and the students have been painting them with kind messages in Art Class. Make a Wish has sent boxes of flower bulbs an cordinated the school party as their gift and it is our hope to make a flower and rock garden in Mary's yard for Cam to enjoy. He loves to be outside.
We hope that Cam will enjoy his day and it is our hope that we may be able to raise enough money in the future to get Cam a “special needs van”. Cam is now almost 4 feet tall and weighs 40 pounds so Mary's small SUV with over one hundred thousand miles is not quite doing the job of making the constant trips to doctor’s appointments in Charleston and Columbia. Plus, he’s getting too big for a car seat in her midsize suv. Furthermore, there is no ac vents in the back. If he is overheated: the seizures tend to spike, with summer right around the corner, we'd like to be sure he is nice, cool an comfortable for all his trips. The struggle is real my friends. His wheelchair wont even fit in the suv to carry for all his appointments, we cary a fold up beach wagon that he has to lay down in an cant sit up, that he's almost outgrown. Please help if you can.
Thanks in advance everyone, Cam really needs a van!!!
As well, anyone who would like to volunteer some gardening assistance would great!
