Sharing Aviation with Youth
Donation protected
On June 13, 2015, Bucknell University students Colin Hassell ’15 and Zach Ross ’17 will depart on a cross-country airplane journey with the sole purpose of sharing aviation with youth. During their trip throughout the eastern U.S., they will be making a stop in your area to highlight local aviation and welcome conversations about learning to fly, especially with young people.
Since earning their pilot licenses, Hassell and Ross have had a passion for sharing aviation with others. Hassell conceived of the idea for this trip as a memorable and impactful summer project before he begins a full-time job in August.
During this aerial journey, Hassell and Ross will be making a series of stops at local general aviation airports, including in your community. At some of these stops, representatives from local chapters of the Experimental Aircraft Association may be on hand to welcome the young pilots. These EAA chapters help young people discover the world of flight through EAA’s Young Eagles program.
By supporting this endeavor, you are helping to fulfill the dream of anyone who has ever gazed skyward.
