Support “Flux & Form” – A Platform for Emerging Bay Area Choreographers
We’re Tether Dance Project, a San Francisco-based collective committed to uplifting early-career choreographers through bold, collaborative performance. This November, we’re launching Flux & Form, a weekend-long showcase spotlighting six to eight powerful new works by emerging Bay Area artists.
Our Mission
Tether Dance Project draws from dance as a vehicle for personal and collective storytelling and seek to celebrate diverse movement narratives. We aim to community-build and create mutual support for young and upcoming artists from all walks of life.
About the Show
Flux & Form is anticipated to run November 14–15, 2025, and will take place at a local San Francisco theater (Joe Goode Annex or Z Space). The program features:
- Three original works by Tether Dance Project artists, including new chapters of Tatianna Steiner's Socks and Teo Lin-Bianco's Soulmates
- Three to five guest works by rising choreographers exploring identity, connection, and transformation through movement
- A focus on community, experimentation, and storytelling in the face of shifting cultural and economic tides
Where Your Donation Goes
We’re raising $10,000 to help cover:
- Artist stipends & rehearsal space
- Venue rental & production costs
- Lighting, costumes, and tech
- Accessibility features (need-based sliding-scale tickets for children, students, etc.)
No amount is too small, whether it’s $5 or $500, your support helps ensure these artists are seen, supported, and celebrated.
Why It Matters
Flux & Form is more than a performance, it’s a homegrown effort to sustain accessible, live art and create opportunities where few exist. If you believe in the power of dance, storytelling, and local art, we hope you’ll join us in bringing this vision to life.
Let’s make space for new voices to move us.
With gratitude,
Tati, Ella, and Teo
