Hallo, ich bin Künstlerin und organisiere gemeinsam mit anderen einen kleinen Kunstraum in Nicaragua.

Eine befreundete Künstlerin hat ein Stipendium des Leipzig International Art Programm (LIA) in der Spinnerei von November bis Januar erhalten. Sie hat jedoch eine einjährige Tochter und kann das Stipendium nur wahrnehmen, wenn ihr Partner und die Tochter sie begleiten können. Er selbst ist Kunstkritiker, und begleitet ihre künstlerische Arbeit theoretisch. Da das Stipendium mit einer künstlerischen Recherche in Archiven verbunden ist, wird er an diesem künstlerischen Projekte auch direkt mitarbeiten. Die Kosten für Unterkunft und Verpflegung für die 3 Monate sind schon abgedeckt, es fehlen nun noch die Kosten für Flug und Krankenversicherung für Yasser und das Kind, sowie einige kleinere Ausgaben.

Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn es dieser Künstlerfamilie ermöglicht würde, diese Chance wahrzuehmen. Aus eigener Erfahrung weiß ich, wie schwer es ist, Kunst und Familie unter einen Hut zu bringen.

"For the past two years, I have been doing creative writing and essay work with themes related to contemporary art which are published monthly in the magazine Meer.

Recently my wife, who is also an artist and curator, was selected for a three-month residency in the city of Leipzig, Germany, by the Leipzig International Art Programme (LIA) Institute.

My wife and I have a baby who is one and a half years old. We requested the LIA that the baby and I also be able to travel with my wife, to avoid the baby being separated from her mother. The residency allows the three of us to live there; however, I must cover the costs of the plane tickets and health insurance, both for myself and for the child.

I have chosen this medium to request your support, which will allow us to continue our artistic and research work in a distant land, yet always close to our daughter. We are willing to learn, to share the art that has accompanied us so far as a tool to contribute to the building of a better world.
